Which emulsifier and how much do we use to get next emulsion stable? Chloramine T 5g boric acid water 170ml Water 330ml paraffin Oil 500ml

Answer

I would opt for the use of emulsifying cetomacrogolis such as e.g. 10g Emulsigade 1000 NI or 2 D Cetomacrogol 1000 and 8 D cetostearyl alcohol. If the emulsion is not sufficiently stable, the amount of emulsifier can be increased or a small amount (2g?) of methyl cellulose is added to increase the viscosity of the external phase.
such preparations of the Carrel Dakin type, which are applied to open wounds, are often W/O emulsions. Here, too, there is the possibility that the suitable emulsifier should prepare a W/O emulsion.
I must note that the use of boric acid should be strongly discouraged!
