We were asked by a dermatologist to prepare a zinc syrup. What formulation?

Answer

You can best use the composition from the FNA.
R/Citric acid 450 mg
Zinc sulfate 7 aq. 3g
sugar syrup 180 g possibly sorbitol 70%
Vanilla essence 345mg
nipagine 120mg
purified water to 344.4 G
In a tarnished bottle in approximately 90ml freshly boiled purified water is dissolved successively: zinc sulfate and citric acid. The sugar syrup, the vanilla essence and the Nipagine are added and mixed with the aqueous solution. Eventually, purified water is taken by weight (tare + 344.4 g). With an indicator strip, check the pH; It must be 2 à 3.
