A wart ointment with phenol liquefactum, which is no longer available.

For a child of 8 years R/salicylic Acid; Thymol Phenol liquefactum; Sulpho resorcinol Each time to 15% in unguentum simplex AD 100% Are these dosages justified for wart ointment? Phenol Liquifactum no longer available in addition, I thought that in ung simplex phenol Kristallijn should be used, but then dose should also be adjusted. Can I melt phenol and thymol in Ung simplex and process it?

Answer

Phenolum liquefactum = 10 D phenol + 1 D water

I suspect that phenol liquid + thymol + Sulpho resorcinol together are curable and miscible under some of the available simple ointment (mixture 1)

For salicylic acid You should use the powder quality  , still rub well in the mortar and then slowly mix with the rest to simple ointment, very slightly warmed up. To this mixture you add mixture 1 and the whole is brought by the ointment roller.

It is recommended to shield the fabric around the wart with nail polish or prepare a mixture of collodion in acetone. One can also inject the ointment into a round hollow plaster of Scholl to position the ointment correctly on the wart.
