The thymol content in thyme oil is obviously not constant and depends on a number of factors. It seems to be between 30 to 70%. If we now take it pretty average then we would be 50% greedy. This means that you have to use the double hoeveeness volatile oil as thymol. This volatile oil is insoluble in water but there are still products in the composition, which are either insoluble or poorly soluble in water. These appear to be kept in solution by the presence of a high concentration of isopropanol and also of Dettol in which an emulsifier occurs, which works as Solubilizer.
So there is the possibility that the essential oil also dissolves and the final solution is clear. Is this Not the case then I would add Tween 80 in a quantity double as the amount of volatile oil. If insufficient, this quantity has to be increased.
