Solution for nose with adrenaline shows precipitation Tetracaine HCl 682mg sodium metabisulfite 15mg NaCl 270mg Adrenaline 1mg/ml 0.37 ml Aqua Conservans ad 30ml

< br/> We Use the adrenalin ampoules of Sterop (base 1mg/ml); Everything dissolves, but after a few hours of storage in a refrigerator, crystals turn off.
also with Suprarenin ampoules with adrenalin. HCl form crystals when stored in a refrigerator. Back at room temperature, they dissolve again. The pH of the solution = 7. Can precipitation be avoided and how long is this solution stable when stored in the refrigerator?

Answer

So it makes no difference whether it is the base or the hydrochloride. The neutral pH is given by the tetracaine. It could be that adrenaline strikes down, even though the amount is minimal. Personally, I would acidifying the solution with 0.4 ml of a 0.1% wine-acid solution in water. An acidic pH will be beneficial for the stability and possibly also for the solubility of adrenaline.
If a salt-out problem arises (which I doubt) NaCl can be replaced by an equivalent amount of glucose.
make the solution with freshly cooked water. I would prefer to have a storage in the fridge and limit it to 2 months. It is ideal to be able to saturate the solution with nitrogen. But??
