Should nitrofurantoin suspension (30mg/5ml) also be prepared with xanthan gum?

In the TMF, Nitrofurantoin suspension is prepared with dispersion of microcrystalline cellulose and in sodium. Also in other formularies (TMF, USP) I find analogue formulas back obv CMC. Can the preparation also be made with xanthan gum (prefabricated suspension base)?
