A shampoo with Hexachloropone: Zinc pyrithione 1.5% Hexachlorofa 0.5% Shampoo 200ml

Zn Pyrithione is suspended in shampoo simplex based on texapon NSO and composition made by addition of Na Cl. Hexachlorofone causes an additional thickening of the shampoo how is hexachlorofa best processed? Should it be kept in solution?

Answer

Hexachlorofone is an antiseptic substance, which is no longer recommended and is still very little used, especially in children under 3 years of age (see cosmetics legislation).

I would start with the preparation of a concentrated solution with 10 g cetomacrogol in 75 ml of water. It is quite possible that the dissolving process is smoother with cold than with hot water?? And then dissolve the hexachlorofone. Hexachloropone can be dissolved beforehand in 5 ml of alcohol and then brought into the concentrated Cetomacrogol solution. This can then be further diluted with shampoo simplex.
