A physician prescribes a hydrophobic gel with a very high level of local anesthetics. What does hydrophobic basic gel mean?

R/lidocaine 23 gr; Tetracaine 3.5 G; Tetracaine Hydrochoride 3.5 gr and hydrophobic base gel AD 100 Gr. It serves to numbs the skin. In Belgium, Tetracaine is apparently only available as HCl.

Answer

It should be noted that this compound contains an extremely high concentration of local anesthetics. This preparation will be used with the utmost caution. Warn the doctor. Abuse in the US has already led to killing! Many pharmacists refuse to make such preparation especially when asked by a beauty institute and have communicated about this on Facebook Magistraal.

Hydrophobic base gel can be purchased as Plastibase but not available for the Offina's in Belgium. It is a kind of soup-cellar Vaseline and is widely used in specialties. You can replace it with a mixture of 1/3 liquid paraffin and 2/3 White petroleum jelly.

There zla vlle attention should be paid to the degree of findity of the powders. First make Dr Og fine (possibly with electric coffee grinder) and then rub it with liquid paraffin. If necessary use the ointment grinder.
