The classic rules

1. For the treatment of a bacterial or fungal infection in the external auditory canal, the general rule is an anhydrous solvent; br/> 2. Since some solvents used are not appropriate for the middle and inner ear, there is always a warning that there is eardrum perforation; br/> 3. Unresolved particles should be avoided for middle and inner ear. br/> In the DAC-NRF, the following suspension occurs with Nystatin: 50,000 I. E./g br/> R/Nystatin Z.A.N. approx. 0.2 g br/> Glycerin 17g br/> Water 3g br/> If the viscosity seems too high, the amount of water can be increased. br/> It is also cited that suspensions used for oral use; can also be used. Under the same limitations as above.
