Levofloxacine syrup for child of 1 year (80mg 2 times a day)?

I fear it is very bitter and I also find nothing back about siropes with levofloxacin. Is it better to make capsules and stir with fruit porridge? Because milk products should not be

Answer

I found following formula for 50 mg/ml oral suspension

Levofloxacin 5 G; Avicel 591 (Microcrystalline cellulose for suspensions) 500 mg, glycerin 5 g, citric acid 125 mg; Na2HPO4 60 mg, K sorbate 50 mg, Nipagine 50 mg, water 50 ml and raspberry syrup up to   100 ml.

You should leave tablets, which you will have to traced to powder in a mortar. The obtained powder should be seven and what remains on the sieve should be further fine. I have noted that in the composition of the tablet, viscosities increase products occur so that I do not exclude that microcrystalline cellulose can be omitted.
