Question
Posted on: May 7 2014I'm looking for the right formula of triamcinolone-tincture for psoriasis under the nail.
I find in the FNA: Tincture, 10 ml: 2 mg (= 0.02%) Triamcinolone-Acetonide and 20 mg (= 0.2%) Salicylic acid per ml of alcohol (70%).
Are the amounts of active substance not per 10 ml of alcohol, otherwise the percentages do not correct?
Answer
I cannot find this preparation in the FNA and therefore cannot make a comparison. But I suspect the quantities are given per 10 ml of alcohol. In this case, the percentages are correct
