How do I prepare NaOCl 5% solution?

Does NAOCL exist as a bulk product and do I have to take something special into account?

Answer

Sodium hypochlorite is found as a concentrated solution with a content of 13 to 15 German chlorometric degrees. This corresponds to a content of 13 to 15% (M/v) of active chlorine. Given 1 g of active chlorine corresponding to 1.05 g NaOCl, this is approximately 13 to 15% (M/V) NaOCl.

given that the NaOCl solution is low in stability, we may be able to use the lower limit and start dilution of a concentrated solution with a content of 13% NaOCl.
the dilution is best done with purified water. Also consider the corrosive and corrosive nature of both the concentrated and the diluted solution. Keep out of the influence of light!
