How do I prepare eye drops with iodides and HPMC? KI-NaI aa 300mg, HPMC 30mg Fiat 10ml Collyre

HPMC swells in H2O, but the solution is no longer filterable by 0.22 micrometer membrane filter. So can only be added after any fitracy, which actually makes the previous filtration useless...?? I work for the moment: Salts + HPMC bring together in collyrevial, and add sterile water from ampoule via syringe with needle... But?

Answer

Bring 100mg HPMC into a vial and add 10ml of Aqua Conservans and sterilize this whole with the method of Deussen in flowing water vapour for 40 minutes.
dissolve 343mg of both iodides in 7ml water for preservation (aqua Conservans) and add 1ml of a freshly prepared solution, containing 1.2 g of nathiosulfate per 100 ml. Filter through a 0.22 micrometer sterile membrane filtration 7g of this solution in a Sterilized eye dropper vial. Add aseptic with a sterilized syringe and needle 3ml of the sterilized and fully cooled HPMC solution. Shake the vial with the cooled HPMC solution before taking off an aliquot. Close the eye dropper bottle and homogenize.
