A gel with histamine

I was asked by a physiotherapist to make a gel with histamine as an active ingredient. Which gel do I use best? Had thought of a non ionogenic gel?

Answer

Given histamine occurs as dihydrochloride it will be difficult to convert it to the unladen alkaline form. Therefore, a non-ionogenic gel will be the only way out.
