An emulsifier should be added to Eucerine (50%) Prepare?

If so, how much? We've already tried this with Arlacel and Tween 80, but with no successful result. The CR è me continues to schift. How can we better tackle this?

Answer

I find your finding interesting because I have struggled for years with the same problem. In any case, the addition of Tween is completely wrong, but Arlacel is a better choice.

The German Pharmacopoeia describes this preparation and does not add any extra emulsifier!

I have now learned that prepared with the Unguator the CR è me remains stable. This device continues to mix even if the CR è me is very viscous. Apparently important that is stirred to cold. I therefore suspect that we do not mix long enough as we usually no longer mix if the CR è actually seems to me off because then manual mixing becomes tricky.

Another plus point for the Unguator.
