Elocom Lotion 20ml, Liq carb 10g, salicylic acid 5g in Isopropanol 30degree AD 100ml

Isopropanol 30 degrees, is the same formula used for this of alcohol? Salicylic acid in isopropanol is clear, but becomes cloudy when adding Elocom

Answer

What contains Elocom

0.1% solution for cutaneous use: - The active ingredient is mometasonfuroate 1 mg/g. -the other ingredients are:   Isopropyl alcohol, hydroxypropylcellulose, propylene glycol, sodium dihydrogeenphosphate dihydrate, diluted phosphoric acid, purified water.   considering you have this Elocom lotion further diluted with isopropanol of 30   degrees, in which you think salicylic acid is soluble, I suspect that mometasonfumarate precipitates. You should increase the isopropanol degree. You can rely on corticosteroid lotions, which are described in the TMF.   I suspect that the composition of Elocom solution is similar.
