Ear drops based on Sulpho resorcinol and glycerin. Glycerin 20g sulpho resorcinol 300mg F ear drops 3x/d in ear right

I have received from an ORL specialist the following prescription for a child, for which I would like to receive advice.

Answer

Indeed Sulpho Resorcinol does not dissolve cold in glycerin; Maybe when heating, but then check well if there are no big crystals precipitate when cool! If a precipitate is formed, I would make the Sulpho resorcinol extremely fine and then rub it with the glycerin until a suspension. The viscosity of the glycerin should be sufficient to keep the Sulpho resorcinol powder particles, after shaking, in suspension when vacuuming e.g. 0.5 ml.
