Answer

Tiecmoniumiodide (Visceralgine® syrup) is not available as raw material. But for Duspatalin syrup The following previously published formula can be used:

R/Mebeverine HCl 1g Disodium pamoate monohydrate 98% 493MG Sodium benzoate 100mg Sodium saccharin 100mg Citric acid 45mg Sodium citrate 100mg Tween 20 250mg Cremophor EL 250mg Dimethicone 100 2dr Vanilla 0.1 g Banana Aroma 2DR Avicel RC 3gr Water AD 100ml

The unpleasant taste of mebeverine HCl is very difficult to mask. Therefore, in situ, the insoluble salt mebeverinepamoate is formed. Addition of viscosities Enhancing substances (Avicel RC) reduce the stimulation of the taste buds.

Preparation method for 200 ml suspension: (verified by Apoth. T. Van Schoubroeck)

  • apply 4 drops of dimeticone in a beaker and moisten with 500 mg Tween 20 and 500 mg Cremophor EL
  • add: 200mg sodium benzoate, 200 mg sodium saccharin, 90 mg citric acid, 200 mg sodium citrate, 6g Avicel RC and 2g mebeverine HCl.
  • mix with a spatula
  • boil approximately 200 ml purified water and pour 100 ml over the mixture and mix (Rotor Stator mixer) to homogenous
  • allows the solution to be converted to room temperature.
  • add disodium pamoate monohydrate, dissolved in 50 ml of boiled water, dropwise under continuous and vigorous mixing.
  • apply the suspension in a brown bottle of 200 ml for internal use
  • Leng to 200 ml with freshly boiled water and also use this water to remove the last residue present on the mixer and in the beaker.
