Does denatured alcohol (antiseptic solution) qualify for the preparation of a minoxidil solution?

The Minoxidil solution is best prepared with pure ethanol. If denatured alocohol is used, irritation dermatitis on the scalp occurs quite frequently, which is sometimes confused with allergic contact eczema on mainly propylene glycol. If we then urge the pharmacist that the product is prepared with ethanol (bon go û t), one sees this dermatitis disappear. The recently published TMF Formularium also uses ethanol 96 ° for the Magistal preparation.
