A doctor asked me to process 3 Fasigyn pills, which are taken in once, to a different form because the baby cannot swallow properly yet.

If the powder is filled in gelules, the child must swallow 12 pieces. The powder has a very bad taste. Do you have any idea how I could process it into a suspension that can camouflage the flavor a bit?

Answer

I would crush the tablets and lead to fine powder. Under this powder I would mix 500mg of gum arabic and convert the mixture with sugar syrup, which is added Dropwise, to a kneaded dough. I would print that kneaded mass and put it on a bottom layer of chocolate paste. Above the dough I put a top layer of chocolate paste and the whole is transferred into a soup spoon and administered to the child, which is requested to swallow everything as soon as possible.
