Question
Posted on: March 6 20131% Oestradiolbenzoaat is added to a 2% minoxidil solution. How do I get the Oestradiolbenzoaat resolved?
Answer
The overall composition reads:
R/Oestradiolbenzoaat 0.6 gthe problem is to find the solubility of Oestradiolbenzoaat! According to my data, ethanol is not a good solvent (1/150) but Oestradiolbenzoaat would be 1 to 5 soluble in chloroform. Also reasonably well soluble in acetone 1/15.
minoxidil 1.2 g
Propylene glycol 6g
water 12g
Ethanol ad 60g
Therefore, it should be attempted whether 5g chloroform can be added to water or ethanol. Or 15g acetone, this maybe in deduction of alcohol?
Another possibility may be the addition of 5 G Tween 80 in deduction of alcohol. Also castor oil is a good solvent but perhaps not so ideal.
