How can I dissolve ketoconazole in a clear shampoo.

I tried DMSO but the viscocity goes away.

Answer

After Laurylether-2 sulfate 40   g; Lauramide Acid (cocamide) diethanolamide 0.1 to 1%; NaCl   25% solution 4 ml; Citric acid 20% aqueous solution 0.5 ml; All 200 mg; Ketoconazole 2 G; Propylene glycol 5   ml, water purified   QS 100   ml

Place in a beaker the Na   laurylethersulfate and mix with any added perfume; measure 55 ml of   water and pour into a beaker and add citric acid; Thicken the mixture with all NaCl

If the viscosity is too low, apply them with Cocamide DEA (Comperlan KD) to a maximum of 1%: Add slowly under stir, allow a time before adding a next small amount

Mix in a mortar all and ketoconazole and rub with propylene glycol to form a homogeneous paste; dilute with a small amount of shampoo base

Completely transfer the contents of mortar to the shampoo base and mix to homogenous. Check the pH, which = 6 à 6.5; Adjust if necessary.

Pour the whole quantity quantitatively into a measuring cylinder, using a panlikker. Check how much water should be added to bring on 100 ml.

Use the missing water to rinse the mortar and beaker.
